Borrascosa, our only black mare, has been with us since 2012. She carries many of the old blood lines.
On her sire’s side she is totally from the Military lines, having many well-known and prestigious names on her pedigree. 
Her dam’s side goes back almost exclusively to the Salvador Guardiola Fantoni Stud, another well respected old stud. (On their website it states that the stud was founded in Utrers in 1690 and has been passed down from generation to generation).
 
Borrascosa is just over 15.1hh. She produces foals that are very true to type, maturing around 15.2hh-15.3hh.  Four of her foals have been sired by Mas Yaco (Yogurt), our current stallion.  All have good conformation, straight action and have been very similar in temperament. They are inquisitive, friendly towards people, fairly independent but calm and amenable. Her foals have great potential for dressage and showing. 
 
Borrascosa carries the chestnut gene so is capable of producing a palomino by Yogurt. So far, she has chosen to produce buckskins so we will try again in 2024 for a 2025 foal!
